In 1916, Leopold Kimpink bought the mill and the premises in Guntramsdorf. Kimpink began production of gramophones and records but soon turned to the production of petrol stoves.

After the first world war these were bought a lot at home and abroad. Branches othe the Crown Prince Works were opened in Munich, Budapest, Yugoslavia, and Turkey. Around 1930, around 100 people were employed at the Guntramsdorf plant.

After the second World War Kimpink could no longer get the factory going. The company company was a victim of progress, Kronprinzofen was no longer bought. When Leopold died on July 25th, 1945, his widow continued to run the business for a few years.

In 1956 the factory premises was sold and a paint factory was built. Today it's called DuPont Performance Coatings Austria.
