Up for sale is this JVC DD-VR9  Professional Stereo Cassette Deck  DD-VR9J
It has been *SERVICED* - New belts installed (3x), Motor Speed Adjusted, Pinch Rollers & Idler tire cleaned & conditioned w/ MG 408C Rubber Renue.  
This deck is cosmetically in pretty good shape with a clean face and minimal defects to the top of the case.  Please see the high resolution photos as they describe the cosmetic condition of this equipment.
Function Tested - This is a good cassette deck with a couple of caveats to take note of for the Audiophile.
  • Plays in both directions.  *User should stop the deck before manually changing tape play direction for best results*
  • Turning the cassette deck off during cassette play may EJECT button to be inactive (this is normal for this deck, play/stop the tape to reactivate)
  • WOW/Flutter in forward play is 0.10 to 0.13 - average 0.11, Speed 0.2 % fast
  • WOW/Flutter in reverse play is 0.08 to 0.15 - average 0.12, Speed 0.2% slow
  • Flutter is not audibly discernable in Forward Play.  Flutter is audibly discernable in reverse play
  • (Pinch Roller Replacement and/or height adjustment will improve/resolve flutter & speed variance)
  • Auto-Reverse works
  • Music Scan (Next Song Detection) works
  • Counter works
  • Input / Output Faders work and sound clean during adjustment
  • Motorized Control Drawer works fine *do not actuate manually, use the open/close button!*
  • A serialized quality assurance seal has been applied to the rear of the unit, #883479
