NOS Rare Vintage Douglas MB-1 "GENIE" Air-to-Air-Nuke Missile NIB

It is NOS - New from Old Stock.  That means its actually OLD, but has not been removed from the box since manufactured new.  I acquired this from a retired Douglas Engineer who had 3 - 1 outside the box and 2 sealed in the box.  I am offering 1, sealed in the box.  I've used the display model to illustrate what is contained inside of the box.  Please take note that this is a vintage item and may experience time toning and drying of the glue on the decals while inside the box as well as manufacturing variances.

It is about 5.25" long and 3" tall.

The Douglas MB-1 Genie (later redesignated AIR-2 Genie) was a unique and extreme Cold War weapon: the world's first (and only) nuclear-armed air-to-air rocket/ missile ever deployed operationally. Developed by Douglas Aircraft Company starting in 1954, it was designed to counter massed formations of Soviet strategic bombers threatening the United States, at a time when guided air-to-air missiles were still in their infancy and conventional weapons couldn't reliably stop high-altitude, high-speed bomber waves.

The key idea was simplicity: since the nuclear warhead had a large lethal radius, the rocket didn't need precision guidance—just point the launching interceptor aircraft in the general direction of the bomber formation, fire, and let the blast do the work.
