Sansui G-7000 Stereo RECEIVER Pure Power - *SERVICED*

It has been *SERVICED*, having spent hours on the bench being examined, checked, cleaned, calibrated and function tested - Power Supply Voltages checked and verified.  Bias Set to Factory Specification.  DC Offset Zero'd out within 10ths of a millivolt.  Sound Controls Cleaned & Lubricated with Caig D100L, Bulbs Replaced with Incandescent.  All Signal Paths Checked and Verified.  Load Tested & Heat Cycled to Verify Performance.  Faceplate, Dials & Buttons Cleaned.  RCA Inputs Deoxidized.  VU Meter / Channel balance verified.  A minimalist approach to restoration was taken to preserve the equipment to as close to factory as possible.  No repairs were required.  Only internal trim pot adjustments were required to achieve calibration to factory specification to account for drift of the original components as per the service manual.  All original with exception to the new bulbs.

The multimeter used to measure and calibrate the equipment is a highly sensitive and accurate Keysight 34465A exceeding 6 digits of precision.  Serialized Tamper Seals have been affixed for quality assurance.  If you have any issues with this equipment whatsoever, contact me FIRST.  Breaking any of the seals will constitute modification.

My personal favorite feature of this receiver is the Dolby FM DE-EMPHASIS.  When activated, it brilliantly removes the booming and low tone muddiness characteristic of FM stations while restoring clarity and fidelity in the music.

Cosmetics:
The equipment has some cosmetic imperfections to the wood w/ simulated wood grain veneer case.  Please see the photos.  This is used equipment that is on the well cared for side of the spectrum, showing imperfections characteristic of its age.  There is a hairline (approx 1/2" long, thin as a hair) scuff in the face near the upper section of the tuning meter that I could not get to show up in photos and is also difficult to detect by eye under normal observation.  It can be detected at a certain angle in lighting conditions that cast a shadow on a portion of the face behind the glass.  It is being characterized as a hairline scuff because it doesn't catch a nail.  The Silver Face and Knobs are nearly flawless.

Heritage:

It comes from the estate of a Yacht Salesman who lived in a Southern California home on the hill overlooking the marina.  Close enough for a spectacular view but far enough away that the home was not exposed to the saltiness of the coast.  He was the original owner drove and it modestly thru larger bookshelf sized speakers.
